Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • 5-year Stream Anniversary: Breath of the Wild 100%
  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer
  • PSI Hope 5: Oct. 19: Hollow Knight Archipelago

ZORA SKIP

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 100% - https://youtu.be/VvrlMFrUHIU

That was very much not the intended route.

While Tears of the Kingdom has anti-slip climbing gear, no such item or buff exists in Breath of the Wild. This makes climing in rain quite frustrating, which is only mitigated by the fact that areas with a lot of rain also have a lot of waterfalls. And of course, that means you need the Zora Armor. That's one of the reasons I came here first. Another is the Champion ability, of course.

And a third reason I went to Zora's Domain first is that you can sorta skip the hardest part by starting near Kakariko. I've streamed it before, but the intended route includes a huge deadly path through a lot of electric foes. One spot is about twenty lizalfos armed with electric arrows, and I skipped it by gliding to the top of the sheer cliffs that surround the whole domain. Even the north side has unscalable cliffs. (The game obviously expects this skip is possible, but they sure do make it hard.) This was just barely achievable, and I am glad they didn't block it entirely.

In editing, this video ended up far shorter than expected. While I might just be cutting too much, it's also possible that I just shouldn't split the weekday streams this way. I'll need to be a bit more dynamic about how I edit the videos, I think.
