Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

TOO HARD, TOO FAST

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: Master Quest - https://youtu.be/GNpaajn4qIE

Did they really have to shove you into a dungeon with double damage and no bottles?

In terms of enemy placement, this is pretty lax for Master Quest. I forgot that the overworld was unchanged, but don't worry: even the mini-dungeons have been altered. Double damage even from falling is rather overkill if you ask me, but I did manage to get through the first dungeon anyway. With a couple of game overs.

In terms of story, this is exactly the same as the original Ocarina of Time. Same for dungeon order. I think it would have been cool if they'd swapped Ice Arrows and Iron Boots around to make use of the ice arrow mechanics that we don't get to see otherwise (more on that later or you can just look it up like I did), but no, it's exactly the same in terms of major item placement. They just might be in different rooms within dungeons.

While other games since Master Quest have added double damage modes, I don't anticipate streaming many of them. (Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, off the top of my head.) I would do it in Twilight Princess if not for one particular optional dungeon where I need all the health I can get. Otherwise, my health will be in about as much danger as it was for the majority of my playthrough of Wind Waker HD. However, Ocarina of Time (especially Master Quest!) is not that easy, so this will actually be somewhat of a challenge. I'll be doing my best to lessen that challenge by grabbing every piece of heart that I remember exists.
