Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this schedule will be changing when the current Poll game finishes.

  • Final Fantasy

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this set will be put on hold at the conclusion of the current game.

  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

Power Wash Simulator - https://youtu.be/m0dQVydpJS4

In which I talk about everything I'd rather be streaming.

To those of you who read this blog, it's not a secret that I don't enjoy Power Wash Simulator. However, it's not like Thumper and Crypt of the Necrodancer, which are simply too difficult for me to finish them. It's just boring. I do like that I don't have to pay too much attention to the game and can just chat, but I have so many other games I'd rather play. Those that were (and some that were not) on the list played at 5x speed:

  • Xenoblade Chronicles X - I do actually enjoy most of this game. Just not the (original) story.
  • Romancing SaGa 2 - I'm almost done! And I've enjoyed just about every part of the game.
  • Mario RPGs - I really enjoy all of these and can't wait to get to them.
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Same as Mario RPGs.
  • CrossCode - I beat the game before the DLC even released. I want to stream the whole thing!
  • Splatoon - It's not super active right now since we're in the waiting period between the Last Splatfest and the next game. But I do like the single-player stories a lot, too.

The reason I don't skip to just play those other things is because I do feel a sense of obligation to finish any game that's not too hard for me. (I wish I could finish those others, too, but I simply can't. Twenty hours in a game without going anywhere or even feeling like I got better at it just puts me off from continuing.) However, that's not to say I can't mightily put it off. I last played this game in February; I probably won't play it again for a couple of months, unless Odyssey post-game is shorter than I think.
