Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this schedule will be changing when the current Poll game finishes.

  • Final Fantasy

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this set will be put on hold at the conclusion of the current game.

  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

FORCED BACKTRACKING

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: Master Quest - https://youtu.be/1RYZwxWUFtk

No, you're not allowed to just run straight through a dungeon in this game.

We've finished the tutorial, AKA the child dungeons. There's still a child mini-dungeon, but I don't have to do it yet. But for the sake of not having to worry about not having its item, I'll do it before the Fire Temple, even though I'm practically standing right outside of it. With the tutorial finished, then, we get into the serious puzzles.

Even in Ocarina of Time, the Forest Temple is pretty heavy on the puzzles. The poe sisters are unchanged here, which actually means they're the easier part of the dungeon. It certainly doesn't help that Stalfos now deal four hearts of damage! Those things in particular are why I was emphasizing going after heart pieces, though after two more major dungeons, I'll be fighting foes that deal eight. I don't think I can have seventeen hearts by then, either. Master Quest isn't kidding around.

Story: Link tried his best to protect the Triforce from Ganondorf. But actually, Ganondorf had no ability to ever reach it. The Master Sword stood in his way. He could only get there by Link drawing out the blade. And then the blade sealed Link away for seven years while opening the way for Ganondorf to enter. Whoever set this up clearly didn't think it through. Well, now we get to do lots of puzzles (because Ganondorf seems to love making those despite not actually having the Triforce of Wisdom anymore). Also, the Song of Storms is just about the only inconsistency in the time travel, as you had no ability to learn it prior to you using it, somehow. The other inconsistency is that if you open a treasure chest as an adult, you don't get to open it a second time as a child. It would be interesting if it was sealed shut to prevent time shenanigans, but no, it's open. Maybe someone is going around populating those in the interim.
