Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

EXPLORING BOWSER'S KINGDOM

Super Mario Odyssey - https://youtu.be/Dyf5Azc5rnw

Fewer bosses and a lot more platforming!

On our first pass through Ruined and Bowser's Kingdoms, it was pretty much a boss rush. Not as much as we're going to get really soon, but we had two major bosses and two minibosses in a very short span of time. There was some platforming, but mostly just wall-climbing with Pokios. This round was very different.

I'm not sure you can gather this from the quickened video, but I really enjoyed most of the platforming in Bowser's Kingdom. The Koopa Freerunning was unusually boring, but the rest didn't disappoint. I'm not really a fan of Pokios, though. Too easy to die by slightly wrong timing. It doesn't help that most of their stuff is over acid or pits.

I will say: that tower in Ruined Kingdom is quite sturdy. The dragon is massive and is specifically hanging on the side with no supports, because that way his body doesn't lay against the tower but rather fills the void. Stonework alone could not support that. That tower uses miracle materials. How did it even crumble in the first place?
