EARLY CLAW, LATE DREAMERS

It's another randomizer. Don't expect me to write a lot for most of these.

 

As you might be able to tell from my shock at the wrong settings, I've never tried using the reset function before. I thought it would just set everything back to how it was the first time I opened up the randomizer, with only Randomizer 4 (the base mod) active. Not so much. It probably put all the mods on their default settings, which meant that nail upgrades and journal entries were randomized. That makes Colosseum way more worth doing―which I don't want, because I'm not great at it. Though I am still better at it than the bosses that I passed on facing. (Traitor Lord and Lost Kin are the ones I most don't want to fight. I can do passably well with basically everything else that's not in Godhome, White Palace or Nightmare King Grimm. Thankfully, the last of those three cannot be randomized, so I literally never have to do him unless he shows up on a bingo square.)

 

In practice, Mantis Claw and Monarch Wings tend to be rather late in a seed. They also open up the most stuff to check. Getting Mantis Claw that early was amazing. Overall, I had four predictions and one poll planned, though I only got to do two of those things due to the timing of items and/or forgetting about them. First up, do I start (or first leave) east or west of Crossroads? If I don't start outside of Crossroads/King's Pass, then there are a few progression items that could dictate which direction I go first. Preferably, I go west, because that's generally the easiest way to go.

 

The next prediction is whether I get Mantis Claw or Monarch Wings first. One of the two is required in order to do true ending, and having neither locks a ton of item checks, so I'm basically guaranteed to get at least one of them.

 

Third, to be done when I have two Dreamers, is a poll on whether I should beat the Radiance or not. Since I'd already had Void Heart by that point, this was nullified.

 

Fourth, tied to that poll, is a prediction on whether I'll get the third Dreamer or Void Heart first. Again, I only had one Dreamer when I got Void Heart, so this prediction was nullified.

 

Finally, there's the prediction on whether I'll beat the Radiance on first try. Despite beating it so many times, different charm and ability setups can make the fight pretty hard for me. If I have Carefree Melody, it's way better, but still worth running the prediction. I have no idea whether it'll actually be first try or not on a given setup.
