Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

DUNGEON DASH

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D: Master Quest - https://youtu.be/GuwzbocEo3A

Well that was faster than I expected.

Ocarina of Time has nine dungeons. This isn't even counting the three mini-dungeons, and it's still two more than Wind Waker. Granted, Wind Waker has a lot of things that might be considered mini-dungeons, and a lot of them are required. Anyway, going into this game, I expected to finish it in about six streams, since Ocarina of Time is an older game than Wind Waker and Wind Waker only took eight (not including the last two which were just getting post-game lore).

However, three streams in, I had only just barely started the Adult section of the game. "Maybe it'll be seven streams," I thought. Then this stream happened. I knew the mini-dungeons were short, but I hadn't realized just how short, even with all of Master Quest's changes. Remaining now are three full dungeons and one mini-dungeon; I feel pretty confident I'll get through all of that and find the remaining Skulltulas and Heart Pieces within two streams. Oh, and other item upgrades I haven't yet obtained. I'll have to double-check I have everything when I get to the end. I'm pretty sure I only know where there's one more of those.

The story of the Fire and Water temples is basically that Ganondorf was really, really harsh on every race. Honestly, the Hylians got off easy with just having the capital destroyed. Kakariko was untouched. Meanwhile, the Zoras are frozen solid (but thankfully come back to life when unfrozen) and the Gorons are to be sacrificed to a dragon. The story of the Bottom of the Well is not fully revealed (I'll get the rest of it at the start of the next stream) but we have heard the story of the Lens of Truth. I wonder why that man's house was replaced with a well? The well was not there just to draw water for the town.
