Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

A TALE OF VENGEANCE

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven - https://youtu.be/8CcyhTWsesM

We already took revenge on an overpowered basic fish, so let's lecture this Hero on morals.

Finally! Finally, I get to know what happened with the whole story. (Or most of it, anyway.) We have a prophecy of doom, prevented entirely by the Seven Heroes. But to do so, they had to use "absorption magic," which copied the traits of monsters onto them, including not only their strengths but also their personalities. Not the smartest move ever personally, but it was a sacrifice they were willing to make to protect the whole world.

Meanwhile, the church was preparing an evacuation move in case the Heroes couldn't win. When they did, the man in charge was jealous of their popularity and so branded them as traitors and sent them to another dimension using the evacuation tech (which we found in Salamat). The hadn't been entirely nuts at that point, but by the time they found their way back… they basically were. Some much, much worse than others. However, it had been a very long time, and those who betrayed them were already long dead and forgotten.

Emperor Leon found the bodies of the Seven in the Sealed Cave and ordered it sealed. The seal still holds, but it doesn't prevent the Seven from sending out their absorbing avatars, which is what we keep fighting. To actually end this, we're going to have to seek out the remaining avatars and then mercy-kill the lot of them. I hope we'll be up for the task; we've only fought four so far and we need two more to even open the cave.

I've only lost two Emperors to random foes… and none to boss fights. I wonder what happens if you lose with the last Emperor? Do you have to do a New Game Plus? Or just return to a previous save? It's reminding me of SaGa 2, where you get infinite do-overs in battles until you beat Odin near the end of the game. Then, and only then, do you get game overs if you lose.
